Weekly Portfolio Performance Chart

Equity Markets:

The Indian stock market witnessed a bearish and range-bound this week, facing downward pressure from global geopolitical uncertainties and rising crude oil prices.

Key Market Triggers

  • Global Geopolitical Tensions: The prolonged impasse and uncertainty in the Middle East between the US and Iran weighed heavily on investor sentiment. Reports of the US threatening to maintain an indefinite naval blockade of Iran spurred global risk-off behavior.
  • Rising Crude Oil Prices: Global crude oil prices edged higher on Friday, with Brent crude trading around $87 per barrel. This renewed supply chain concerns and added inflationary pressure to energy-sensitive Indian sectors.
