Weekly Portfolio Performance Chart

The Nifty Index closed this week near the 23000 mark after crossing it for the first time on Friday. The market expects the stable political system to continue and is discounting the outcome of the general election in 2024. India's Q3 2023 GDP growth rate of 8.4% exceeds the consensus forecast of 6.6%. India's CPI inflation rate cooled to 4.83% in April from 4.85% in March. In its April 2024 policy meeting, the RBI held the repo rate unchanged at 6.5%. US inflation increased beyond forecast in March to 3.5%, rising from 3.2% in February. The Fed has kept the policy rate unchanged, but the pace of balance sheet reduction has dropped from $60 billion to $25 billion. By doing this, system liquidity is improved and the higher policy rate is offset. Due to that the US market is trading at an ATH. The NASDAQ technology index is likewise at a record high.
