We have seen an up-move in the Nifty Index after last week of volatile action. On Friday Nifty closed positive. Bank Nifty has shown a relatively higher strength compared to the Nifty Index. After selling a record amount this fiscal year, FII changed from a seller to a buyer.
This week, the Nifty index is up +1.68 percent, and the Nifty Midcap 100 Index is up +2.02 percent.

In August 2022, Models 1, and 3 returned +5.82 percent, and +9.73 percent respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's +3.50 percent return.
In August 2022, the Nifty Long-Short gained some traction and is down -6.81 percent.
For the year 2021 (1st January 2021 - 31 December 2021), Model 1, 2, and Nifty Long-Short returned +86%, 33%, and 5.95%, respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's return of +24%.
Year To Date - 2022
Models 1, and 3 returned -9.86 percent, and +5.74 percent respectively, compared to Nifty's +2.70 percent return for the year 2022.
The Nifty Long-Short year-to-date return (as of January 1, 2022) is now +14.51 percent, compared to the Index's +2.70 percent.
From July 12th, 2021, the Model 3 is up +28%, compared to 16% for the Nifty Midcap Index.

Since its debut, Model 1 has increased by 148 percent. The Nifty index has increased by 65 percent over the same time span.
Since its debut, the Nifty long-short strategy has returned 102 percent on capital and 189 percent on margin money.
Models 1 has been operational since July 13, 2020, whereas the Index Long-Short strategy has been operational since August 14, 2020. Model 3 has been operational since July 12, 2021.
