Weekly Portfolio Performance Chart

Equity Markets:
The Indian equity markets experienced a volatile and weak trading week from 21st to 25th July 2025. Indices started the week with some gains but reversed sharply by the end of the period, with both the Nifty and Sensex closing below key psychological levels. Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) selling, disappointing corporate results for select index heavyweights, and global economic concerns contributed to market weakness.
The India VIX (volatility index) showed some stability earlier in the week, indicating diminished market apprehension, but risk remained elevated by Friday.
Key resistance for Nifty is seen at 25,080–25,434, while support is in the 24,770–25,000 band.

Earnings Impact:
  • Negative reactions to Q1 results from major companies (notably in finance and IT)
  • Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv were major laggards on Q1 earnings misses.
FII Activity:
  • Persistent FII selling, with over ₹10,700cr in net outflows in July.
Global Factors:
  • Uncertain cues, including volatile crude oil prices and upcoming US–India trade talks, weighed on investor mood.
