We have seen an extremely volatile week packed with Global events. Fed has Increased the policy rate to 5% from 4.75%. Same time UK Inflation crossed again 10% mark. Credit Suisse bank crisis has been resolved for now as UBS has acquired the bank. German Deutsche Bank shared down 10% on opening on Friday Indicating another global banking crisis. There is significant stress in the US and global banking system. Currently, the Nifty Index is having higher intraday volatility.

Nifty closed below the 20 EMA, 50 DMA, and 200 DMA.

Bank Nifty Index has outperformed and the Nifty IT Index has underperformed the Nifty Index.

Nifty Midcap 100 Index is down -1.75 percent.
The nifty index on the other hand was volatile and we saw negative movement.

In February 2023Models 1, and 3 returned -6.26 percent, and -1.89 percent respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's -2.03 percent return.

In February 2023, the Nifty Long-Short is down -1.74 percent.

For the year 2022 (1st January 2022 - 30 December 2021), Model 1, 3, and Nifty Long-Short returned -17.87%, -3.31%, and +31.43%, respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's return of +4.27%.

Year To Date - 2023

Models 1, and 3 returned -17.75 percent, and -11.52 percent respectively, compared to Nifty's -6.41 percent return for the year 2023.

The Nifty Long-Short year-to-date return (from January 1, 2023) is now -10.31 percent, compared to the Index's -6.41 percent.

From July 12th, 2021, the Model 3 is up +4%, compared to 8% for the Nifty Midcap Index.

Summary since inception 

Since its debut, Model 1 has increased by 86 percent. The Nifty index has increased by 57 percent over the same time span.

Since its debut, the Nifty long-short strategy has returned 108 percent on capital and 200 percent on margin money.

Model 1 has been operational since July 13, 2020, whereas the Index Long-Short strategy has been operational since August 14, 2020. Model 3 has been operational since July 12, 2021.
