Weekly Portfolio Performance Chart

Equity Markets:
Indian equities were choppy but broadly resilient this week, with frontline indices consolidating near record territory while broader market breadth stayed weak and sector rotation remained active. The Sensex and Nifty 50 hovered close to their all‑time highs through the week, ending with modest moves as traders awaited India’s Q2 FY26 GDP data and tracked global cues. Under the surface, a large number of mid and small caps remained significantly below their 52‑week highs, highlighting narrow leadership despite headline indices near records.

Key Market Triggers

Global Cues: The cooling of US inflation data and rising probability of a Fed rate cut in December reignited risk-on sentiment globally.

FII Reversal: After weeks of selling, Foreign Institutional Investors turned net buyers mid-week, injecting liquidity into large-cap stocks.

Macro Data: Low domestic inflation and expectations of steady GDP growth (data released Friday evening) provided a stable macroeconomic backdrop.
