Weekly Portfolio Performance Chart

It was an extremely choppy week; we have seen a volatile move in the Nifty Index. India's GDP growth rate for Q1 2023 comes at 7.8%, which is in line with the market expectation. The CPI reading for India for July increased sharply to 7.44% from 4.81% in June, on the back of higher Food Inflation. RBI has kept the repo rate unchanged but increased the CRR for the incremental NTDL and commentary was hawkish that spoked the market. India's GDP growth rate for the final three months of FY 2023 was 6.1%, and for the entire year, it was 7.2%, exceeding the forecasted figure of 7%. Fitch has cut the US government sovereign rating to AA+ from AAA, which spoked the global market. The last time was in 2011 when the rating agency cut the sovereign rating of the US. The Fed has increased the Fed rate by 25 bps to 5.5%.

Nifty closed above the 20 EMA and 50 DMA, and above 200 DMA.
