Weekly Portfolio Performance Chart
It was a choppy week; we have seen the sharpest single-day cut in the Nifty Index. Fitch has cut the US government sovereign rating to AA+ from AAA, which spoked the global market. The last time was in 2011 when the rating agency cut the sovereign rating of the US. The Fed has increased the Fed rate by 25 bps to 5.5%. India's GDP growth rate for the final three months of FY 2023 was 6.1%, and for the entire year, it was 7.2%, exceeding the forecasted figure of 7%. The CPI reading for India for June was 4.8%, in line with market estimations. RBI has kept the repo rate unchanged but increased the CRR for the incremental NTDL and commentary was hawkish that spoked the market.
Nifty closed above the 20 EMA, 50 DMA, and 200 DMA.
