This week, the Nifty Index maintained the 18000 mark and closed above the 18300 level. The Nifty Index remains stagnant after Monday's massive upside move. The US CPI print for April comes at 4.9%, below the expectation. It is a good sign that Inflation moderating.

Nifty closed above the 20 EMA, 50 DMA, and 200 DMA.

In April 2023Models 1, and 3 returned +11.30 percent, and +3.48 percent respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's +4.06 percent return.

In April 2023, the Nifty Long-Short is up +8.78 percent.

For the year 2022 (1st January 2022 - 30 December 2021), Model 1, 3, and Nifty Long-Short returned -17.87%, -3.31%, and +31.43%, respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's return of +4.27%.

Year To Date - 2023

Models 1, and 3 returned -4.39 percent, and -7.95 percent respectively, compared to Nifty's -0.20 percent return for the year 2023.

The Nifty Long-Short year-to-date return (from January 1, 2023) is now -4.70 percent, compared to the Index's -0.20 percent.

From July 12th, 2021, the Model 3 is up +5%, compared to 18% for the Nifty Midcap Index.

Summary since inception 

Since its debut, Model 1 has increased by 103 percent. The Nifty index has increased by 70 percent over the same time span.

Since its debut, the Nifty long-short strategy has returned 126 percent on capital and 233 percent on margin money.

Model 1 has been operational since July 13, 2020, whereas the Index Long-Short strategy has been operational since August 14, 2020. Model 3 has been operational since July 12, 2021.
