The Nifty witnessed a sharp cut on Monday majorly due to Infosys and the IT index. Since then the Index consolidating in the same range. CPI inflation is coming down. Inflation for March 2023 clocked 5.66% for India and 5.0% for the US.

Nifty closed above the 20 EMA, 50 DMA, and 200 DMA.

The Nifty IT Index underperformed the Nifty Index while the Bank Nifty Index outperformed it.

Nifty Midcap 100 Index is up +1.06 percent.
The nifty index on the other hand saw positive movement.
This week, the Nifty index is up -1.17 percent.

This week, Model 1 is up +1.30 percent, and Model 3 is up +0.15 percent.

Model 1 has outperformed the Index by +2.47 percent and Model 3 has underperformed the Index by -0.91 percent.

The Long-Short strategy for the Nifty Index has returned a negative result of -2.88 percent this week.

In March 2023Models 1, and 3 returned -4.83 percent, and -3.97 percent respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's +0.32 percent return.

In March 2023, the Nifty Long-Short is down -9.93 percent.

For the year 2022 (1st January 2022 - 30 December 2021), Model 1, 3, and Nifty Long-Short returned -17.87%, -3.31%, and +31.43%, respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's return of +4.27%.

Year To Date - 2023

Models 1, and 3 returned -15.29 percent, and -12.10 percent respectively, compared to Nifty's -2.69 percent return for the year 2023.

The Nifty Long-Short year-to-date return (from January 1, 2023) is now -9.23 percent, compared to the Index's -2.69 percent.

From July 12th, 2021, the Model 3 is up +3%, compared to 13% for the Nifty Midcap Index.

Summary since inception 

Since its debut, Model 1 has increased by 91 percent. The Nifty index has increased by 63 percent over the same time span.

Since its debut, the Nifty long-short strategy has returned 110 percent on capital and 204 percent on margin money.

Model 1 has been operational since July 13, 2020, whereas the Index Long-Short strategy has been operational since August 14, 2020. Model 3 has been operational since July 12, 2021.
