This week, new Covid Variant news from Asian nations caused the Nifty Index to tumble to the ground. The last three sessions were filled with devastation for Small Cap and Mid Cap. The Fed is attempting to limit inflation and has become more hawkish. The policy rate has increased by 50 basis points thanks to the Fed. The new target for the higher policy rate is 5.1%. The repo rate is presently 6.25% after the RBI raised it by 35 basis points last week. Let's see how far this decline goes!
This week, the Nifty index is down -2.53 percent, and the Nifty Midcap 100 Index is down -5.79 percent.

We have seen this kind of carnage during 2020 and the start of the Russia - Ukraine War.

The Long-Short strategy for the Nifty Index has returned a positive result of +6.93 percent this week. NLS hits a lifetime high this week.

In November 2022, Models 1, and 3 returned +2.94 percent, and +3.48 percent respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's +4.14 percent return.
In November 2022, the Nifty Long-Short gained some traction and is up +9.13 percent.
For the year 2021 (1st January 2021 - 31 December 2021), Model 1, 2, and Nifty Long-Short returned +86%, 33%, and 5.95%, respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's return of +24%.
Year To Date - 2022
Models 1, and 3 returned -21.18 percent, and -2.65 percent respectively, compared to Nifty's +5.21 percent return for the year 2022.
The Nifty Long-Short year-to-date return (as of January 1, 2022) is now +44.99 percent, compared to the Index's +2.55 percent.
From July 12th, 2021, the Model 3 is up +18%, compared to 10% for the Nifty Midcap Index.
Summary since inception
Since its debut, Model 1 has increased by 117 percent. The Nifty index has increased by 65 percent over the same time span.
Since its debut, the Nifty long-short strategy has returned 155 percent on capital and 287 percent on margin money.
Model 1 has been operational since July 13, 2020, whereas the Index Long-Short strategy has been operational since August 14, 2020. Model 3 has been operational since July 12, 2021.
