The Nifty Index has had a volatile movement for the week. The FED has hiked the Interest rate by 75 bps. The emerging market is feeling the heat of the stronger USD but the Nifty Index is performing better compared to its peers. The ECB has raised the policy rate by 75 basis points, and the US Q3 GDP growth was 2.6%.
This week, the Nifty index is up +1.86 percent, and the Nifty Midcap 100 Index is up +2.27 percent.

In October 2022, Models 1, and 3 returned +1.32 percent, and +1.16 percent respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's +5.37 percent return.
In October 2022, the Nifty Long-Short gained some traction and is up +8.81 percent.
For the year 2021 (1st January 2021 - 31 December 2021), Model 1, 2, and Nifty Long-Short returned +86%, 33%, and 5.95%, respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's return of +24%.
Year To Date - 2022
Models 1, and 3 returned -11 percent, and +1.99 percent respectively, compared to Nifty's +4.34 percent return for the year 2022.
The Nifty Long-Short year-to-date return (as of January 1, 2022) is now +31.51 percent, compared to the Index's +4.34 percent.
From July 12th, 2021, the Model 3 is up +23%, compared to 15% for the Nifty Midcap Index.
Summary since inception
Since its debut, Model 1 has increased by 144 percent. The Nifty index has increased by 68 percent over the same time span.
Since its debut, the Nifty long-short strategy has returned 132 percent on capital and 244 percent on margin money.
Model 1 has been operational since July 13, 2020, whereas the Index Long-Short strategy has been operational since August 14, 2020. Model 3 has been operational since July 12, 2021.
