The Nifty Index has had an extremely volatile movement for the entire week. Due to concerns about inflation, the Fed increased the federal funds rate by 0.75%, and the entire global market is under pressure. Compared to the Nifty Index, Bank Nifty has demonstrated a comparatively greater weakness and the Nifty IT index has shown strength.

This week, the Nifty index is down -1.16 percent, and the Nifty Midcap 100 Index is down -1.32 percent.

This week, Model 1 and Model 3 are down -2.58 percent and -1.89 percent respectively.

Model 1 has underperformed the Index by -1.42 percent and Model 3 has underperformed the Index by -0.57 percent.

The Long-Short strategy for the Nifty Index has returned a negative result of -1.72 percent this week.

In August 2022Models 1, and 3 returned +5.82 percent, and +9.73 percent respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's +3.50 percent return.

In August 2022, the Nifty Long-Short gained some traction and is down -6.81 percent.

For the year 2021 (1st January 2021 - 31 December 2021), Model 1, 2, and Nifty Long-Short returned +86%, 33%, and 5.95%, respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's return of +24%.

Year To Date - 2022

Models 1, and 3 returned -10.86 percent, and +2.90 percent respectively, compared to Nifty's -0.21 percent return for the year 2022.

The Nifty Long-Short year-to-date return (as of January 1, 2022) is now +12.33 percent, compared to the Index's -0.21 percent.

From July 12th, 2021, the Model 3 is up +25%, compared to 13% for the Nifty Midcap Index.

Summary since inception 

Since its debut, Model 1 has increased by 145 percent. The Nifty index has increased by 60 percent over the same time span.

Since its debut, the Nifty long-short strategy has returned 98 percent on capital and 181 percent on margin money.

Models 1 has been operational since July 13, 2020, whereas the Index Long-Short strategy has been operational since August 14, 2020. Model 3 has been operational since July 12, 2021.
