After reporting an 8.5% CPI in July, inflation appears to be reversing its path, which will result in a less rate increase by the FED than anticipated. The Nifty Index crossed the 17700 threshold this week. After selling a record amount this fiscal year, FII changed from a seller to a buyer.

This week, the Nifty index is up +1.73 percent.

This week, Models 1, and 3 are up +2.31 percent, and +4.41 percent respectively.

Model 1 has outperformed the Index by +0.58 percent and Model 3 has outperformed the Index by +2.60 percent.

The Long-Short strategy for the Nifty Index has returned a positive result of +4.95 percent this week.

In July 2022, Models 1, and 3 returned +6.20 percent, and +8.09 percent respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's +8.73 percent return.

In July 2022, the Nifty Long-Short has gained some traction and is up +11.67 percent.

For the year 2021 (1st January 2021 - 31 December 2021), Model 1, 2, and Nifty Long-Short returned +86%, 33%, and 5.95%, respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's return of +24%.

Year To Date - 2022

Models 1, and 3 returned -14.94 percent, and -0.49 percent respectively, compared to Nifty's +1.92 percent return for the year 2022.

The Nifty Long-Short year-to-date return (as of January 1, 2022) is now +34.65 percent, compared to the Index's +1.92 percent.

From July 12th, 2021, the Model 3 is up +20%, compared to 12% for the Nifty Midcap Index.

Summary since inception 

Since its debut, Model 1 has increased by 134 percent. The Nifty index has increased by 64 percent over the same time span.

Since its debut, the Nifty long-short strategy has returned 137 percent on capital and 254 percent on margin money.

Models 1 has been operational since July 13, 2020, whereas the Index Long-Short strategy has been operational since August 14, 2020. Model 3 has been operational since July 12, 2021.
