Weekly Portfolio Performance Chart
This week the Nifty Index remained volatile starting with a big Gap-Down followed by a sharp recovering amid the peace talk between Russia & Ukraine and the States assembly election result. We have seen a sharp cut and reversal in the Nifty Index Intraday. The Small Cap Index breached the 200-DMA level for the first time since March 2020 and down around 19% from the top. Similarly, The Midcap Index is down around 15% from the top.
The Nifty index ended up at +2.37% this week.

Model 1, 2& 3 have underperformed the Index by +2.32%.

The Nifty Index Long-Short strategy has ended up positive at +20.06%.

Model 1, 2 & 3 have clocked -9.45%, -11.47% and -7.78% return respectively in Feb 2022 compared to -3.15% return in the Nifty 50 Index.
Nifty Long-Short has lost momentum and given up all the gains of Jan 2022 and ended up -26.00% in Feb 2022.
Model 1, 2, and Nifty Long-Short clocked +86%, 33%, and 5.95% respectively for the Year 2021 (1st Jan 2021 -31 Dec 2021) compared to +24% return in the Nifty 50 Index.
Year To Date - 2022
Model 1, 2 & 3 each gave a return of -12.76%, -17.81% & -10.48% respectively vs. Nifty's return of -4.23% for the Year 2022.
Nifty Long-Short year-to-date (From 1st Jan 2022) return is now +12.78% as compared to the -4.23% of the Index.
Model 3 is flat 8% compared to 2.5% of the Nifty Midcap Index from 12th July 2021.
Summary since inception
Model 1 and 2 are up 140% and 50% respectively from inception. For the same period, the Nifty Index is up 54%.
The Nifty long-Short strategy is up 99% since inception and 183% on the margin money since inception.
Model 1 and Model 2 both are live from 13th July 2020 while the Index Long-Short strategy has been live from 14th August 2020. Model 3 is live from 12th July 2021.
