This week the Nifty Index is up by 1.83%. This week we witnessed extreme volatility and whipsaw with gap ups and gap downs at the start of the week and then after the Index remained in the uptrend.
The Nifty Index hit 16891.70 on the lower side and hit 17543.25 on the upper side and ended at 17511.30.
Model 1, Model 2 & Model 3
Model 3 is up +1.56%.
Model 3 has underperformed the Index by 0.27%.
Nifty Long-Short
The Nifty Index Long-Short strategy has ended up in green at +5.08%.
Next Week Update
We will be holding 10 stocks each for Model 1 & 2 for the coming Monday.
There are 2 changes for Model 3 next week.
The current position for the Nifty Long-Short Strategy is Long.
Long term Performance Summary
November 2021 Summary
Model 1, 2 & 3 have clocked +9.85%, -5.46% and -8.02% return respectively in Nov 2021 compared to -3.90% return in the Nifty 50 Index.
Nifty Long-Short has lost momentum and is down -16.66% in Nov 2021.
Year To Date - 2021
Both Model 1 & 2 have outperformed the Nifty in YTD 2021. Model 1 & 2 each gave a return of 75.52% & 33.39% respectively vs. Nifty's return of 25.24% YTD.
Nifty Long-Short year-to-date (From 1st Jan 2021) return is now below the index with -8.10% as compared to the 25.24% of the Index.
Model 3 is up 23% compared to 12% of the Nifty Midcap Index from 12th July 2021.
Summary since inception
Model 1 and 2 are up 160% and 82% respectively from inception. For the same period, the Nifty Index is up 62%.
The Nifty long-Short strategy is up 53% since inception and 98% on the margin money since inception.
Model 1 and Model 2 both are live from 13th July 2020 while the Index Long-Short strategy has been live from 14th August 2020. Model 3 is live from 12th July 2021.
