Weekly Portfolio Performance Chart

This week the Nifty Index is up by 1%. This week we witnessed extreme volatility and whipsaw with gap ups and gap downs. The Nifty Index remained range-bound for this week with extreme movement in both the direction. 

The Nifty Index hit 16782.40 on the lower side and hit 17489.80 on the upper side and ended at 17196.70.

Model 1, Model 2 & Model 3

Model 3 is up +0.12% and Model 1 & 2 are down by -3.62% and -2.29% respectively this week.

Model 1,2 and 3 have underperformed the Index by 4.62%, 3.29% and 0.88% respectively.

Nifty Long-Short

The Nifty Index Long-Short strategy has ended up in red at -16.89%.

Next Week Update

We will be holding a cash position for Model 1 & 2 until the market comes back into an uptrend. 

There are 3 changes for Model 3 next week. 

The current position for the Nifty Long-Short Strategy is Long.

Long term Performance Summary

November 2021 Summary

Model 1, 2 & 3 have clocked +9.85%, -5.46% and -8.02% return respectively in Nov 2021 compared to -3.90% return in the Nifty 50 Index.

Nifty Long-Short has lost the momentum and is down -16.66% in Nov 2021.

Year To Date - 2021

Both Model 1 & 2 have outperformed the Nifty in YTD 2021. Model 1 & 2 each gave a return of 75.52% & 33.39% respectively vs. Nifty's return of 22.99% YTD.

Nifty Long-Short year-to-date (From 1st Jan 2021) return is now below the index with -12.55% as compared to the 22.99% of the Index.

Model 3 is up 20% compared to 10% of the Nifty Midcap Index from 12th July 2021.

Summary since inception 

Model 1 and 2 are up 160%  and 82% respectively from inception. For the same period, the Nifty Index is up 59%. 

The Nifty long-Short strategy is up 45% since inception and 83% on the margin money since inception. 

Model 1 and Model 2 both are live from 13th July 2020 while the Index Long-Short strategy has been live from 14th August 2020. Model 3 is live from 12th July 2021.
