This week the Nifty Index shows a severe drawdown ahead of budget week and also FIIs become a net seller. The Nifty Index is losing its upside trend and down more than 1000 points from its peak. The Nifty Index is now at 13634 from its high point of around 14763.
This week Nifty is down around 5.27%.
From the above portfolio performance graph, we can see that a 75%
and 25% combination of any long-only portfolio and Nifty long-short dynamic
hedge strategy gives stability to the overall portfolio.
We have completed CY 2020 on a high note. For the same period, Nifty 50 is up around 29.43% while Model 1 is up around 49.38% and Model 2 is up around 37.71%. Nifty long short is up around 59.60% till 31st December 2020.
Both the models have shown signs of robustness in testing time and proving that portfolio management is all about taking two steps forward and one step backward.
Model 1 is down around 1.94% this week and
outperformed the Nifty 50 index by 3.33%.
Model 2 is flat this week and
outperformed the Nifty 50 Index by 5.27%.
At the same time, the Nifty future long-short strategy is
up around 18.53% this week compared to the Nifty 50
index down around 5.27%.
We are up 88.49% on overall capital and 163.87%
on the margin money. (Currently using 3x leverage)
Model 1 is up around 49.42% while Model 2
is up around 41.25% and at the same time, Nifty is up around
25.66% from 13th July 2020.
The long-Short strategy is up around 88.49% at
the same time Nifty 50 is up around 21.95%
Model 1 and Model 2 both are live from 13th July 2020 while the
Index Long-Short strategy is live from 14th August 2020.
